Kirchdorf/Haag, 30 June 2026. Even faster and more cost-effective installation – according to the solar mounting supplier Schletter, these were the key topics surrounding mounting solutions at Intersolar 2026. This was also reflected at the company's exhibition stand, where mounting systems designed to significantly reduce installation effort attracted particular interest. The standout attraction was the new rafter system for ground-mounted solar installations.

“Fast installation times and ease of handling are what matter most in practice, across all product groups,” says Schletter CEO Daniel Rehm, summarising his impressions of the exhibition's key topics. “This is evident, among other things, in the way our new rafter system has been recognised as a genuine innovation and generated considerable interest.” First unveiled at Intersolar, the new slide-in solution for fixed-tilt ground-mounted solar projects reduces overall installation time by around 30 per cent. Module installation itself is up to 70 per cent faster than with conventional systems. Instead of placing and securing the modules from above, the new system allows them to be slid into the supporting structure from below.

There was also strong interest in the enhanced Agri-PV version of the 1P Tracker. At its maximum tilt angle, the tracker provides a ground clearance of 2.1 metres to the underside of the modules. This meets a key requirement that is decisive in many European Agri-PV funding and approval schemes. “Agri-PV continues to be a major growth trend,” emphasises Thomas Dorsch, Global Director Sales Ground Mount at Schletter. “We received a particularly high number of very specific enquiries from Italy about this solution. There, sufficient ground clearance is often a prerequisite for Agri-PV projects to go ahead at all.”

In the rooftop segment, green roofs were another important topic. “Until now, there have been very few high-quality mounting systems for green roofs that are both easy to plan and quick to install. The extension of our proven FixGrid Pro flat roof system fills this gap,” says Stephan Wild, Commercial Director Residential and C&I DACH at Schletter. With additional support plates, FixGrid Pro can now also be used on green roofs with build-up heights of up to 35 centimetres, without changing the proven system architecture or the familiar installation process. Speed is equally important in the rooftop segment, particularly for large-scale projects. Schletter also showcased the PanelClaw system from fellow Enstall brand PanelClaw, which does away with module clamps entirely. “Wave is certainly one of the fastest rooftop systems on the market to install,” says Wild. The system is designed primarily for commercial rooftop projects where large roof areas need to be equipped quickly and reliably.

This year, Schletter's exhibition stand attracted particularly high numbers of visitors from the UK, Ireland and Italy. At the same time, the company has seen a significant increase in project enquiries from Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria. “These are growth markets that we are well positioned to serve through our additional production sites in the UK and the Czech Republic, enabling us to offer short delivery times,” says Rehm.
