Kirchdorf/Haag, 9 September 2026. Global solar mounting systems manufacturer Schletter is improving its warehouse logistics with a new facility in Mühldorf am Inn, Germany. The newly built logistics centre replaces the company’s previous warehouse in Kirchdorf.

“The new facility provides us with significantly better conditions for warehousing and logistics and is equipped to the latest standards,” said Florian Pfaffenzeller, Global Head of Logistics at Schletter. “It allows us to handle our internal logistics processes much faster, eliminate unnecessary routes and benefit from better transport links.” The new warehouse is located just one kilometre from the highway A 94.

The new logistics site replaces the company’s previous warehouse in Kirchdorf, around 25 kilometres away. Schletter will continue to use the office space at the Kirchdorf site. The company now operates two modern warehouses in Germany with convenient transport links. Since 2023, Schletter has also operated a logistics centre in Rieste near Osnabrück in Lower Saxony.

Solar PV and heat pump supply the site

The new warehouse in Mühldorf, which covers around 11,800 square metres, is equipped with a 1.7 kWp photovoltaic system. Schletter uses the electricity generated on the warehouse roof directly on site for its own consumption. A heat pump covers the base load for heating. The site also features noise barriers and EV charging stations. To reduce soil sealing, suitable outdoor areas were paved with permeable eco-friendly paving. The office area will also have a green roof.

“For us, the new site is about more than simply moving to a different warehouse. It is an investment in logistics infrastructure that meets our company’s requirements for the years ahead,” said Pfaffenzeller. “At the same time, we are improving working conditions for our employees. On warm days, the temperature inside the new warehouse rises significantly less than it did at the previous site.”

Schletter CEO Daniel Rehm thanked the company’s employees for their efforts in planning and carrying out the move. “Relocating a logistics site while maintaining ongoing operations and without affecting our ability to deliver is a major achievement,” said Rehm. “It requires careful planning and a high level of commitment. The employees involved did an excellent job.”

The new facility was developed by Hanover-based property developer bauwo Grundstücksgesellschaft, with Köster serving as general contractor. The site was previously home to the large-capacity nightclub “Kingdom Parc”. bauwo received Gold certification from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) for the new development.
